     Rabbi Yoysef-Betsalel Garkavy married Tserna Ita Strashun, daughter of Rabbi Samuel Strashun. Rabbi Yoysef-Betsalel Garkavy was born circa 1809. He was born in 1813; per Elhanan Harkavy; per 1816 Revision List. He was the son of Rabbi Eliahu Garkavy and Gitl Kamir Kaminer. Rabbi Yoysef-Betsalel Garkavy was born in 1817 at Vilna. He died in 1873.
     Rabbi Yoysef-Betsalel Garkavy was also known as Yosef Bezelal Harkavy. Rabbi Yoysef-Betsalel Garkavy was also known as Joseph Bezaleel Harkavy. He was he was a very successful merchant and he was wealthy, but his main interest was scholarship; later he became the secretary of the printing house run by Devorah Romm. He appeared on the census of 8 July 1816 at Novogrudok, Novogrudok, Minsk; appeared on the 1816 Revision List as Iosel Tsaiko GARKAVY, age 3. As of 8 July 1816, Rabbi Yoysef-Betsalel Garkavy was also known as Iosel Tsaiko Garkavy per 1816 Revision List and 1858 Revision List. He appeared on the census of April 1834 at Novogrudok, Novogrudok, Minsk; appeared in 1834 Revision List as Iosel GARKAVY, age 21. He appeared on the census of October 1850 at Novogrudok, Novogrudok, Minsk; appeared on 1850 Revision List as Iosel GARKAVY, age 37.
