     Rabbi Yoysef-Betsalel Garkavy married Tserna Ita Strashun, daughter of Rabbi Samuel Strashun. He was born circa 1809. He was born in 1813; per Elhanan Harkavy; per 1816 Revision List. He was the son of Rabbi Eliahu Garkavy and Gitl Kamir Kaminer. He was born in 1817 at Vilna, Vilna, Vilna. He died in 1873. He died on 8 January 1874 at Vilna, Vilna, Vilna; as Osip GARKAVY, age 60, son of Ilya.
     Rabbi Yoysef-Betsalel Garkavy was also known as Yosef Bezelal Harkavy. Rabbi Yoysef-Betsalel Garkavy was also known as Joseph Bezaleel Harkavy. He was he was a very successful merchant and he was wealthy, but his main interest was scholarship; later he became the secretary of the printing house run by Devorah Romm.
