     Rose Okon was born on 20 February 1903 at Grzymalow, Skalat, Galicia; date, place per 1941 Petition for Naturalization. She was the daughter of Yoel Okon and Esther Okon. She married Aron Potashnik, son of Gabriel Potashnik and Estera Goldberg, on 29 October 1927 at Bronx, New York. She died in September 1985 at New York at age 82.

As of 21 January 1921, Rose Okon was also known as Rachela Okin. She appeared on the census of 1 June 1925 at 9 E. 101st Street, New York, New York, as Rose OKON, 22; dress finisher; 4 years in U.S., alien. She appeared on the census of 9 April 1930 at 1163 Stratford Avenue, Bronx, New York, as Rose POTUCHNIT, 26. She appeared on the census of 9 April 1940 at 1163 Stratford Avenue, Bronx, New York, as Rose POTASHNIK, 36. She on 15 October 1941 at 1101 Manor Avenue, Bronx, New York, filed Petition for Naturalization as Rose POTASHNIK, formerly Rose OKIN and Rachela OKIN; witnesses Clara OKON, 1594 E. 172nd Street, Bronx, housewife; and Rose POTASHNIK, 1117 Manor Avenue, Bronx, housewife.
