     Max Szapiro was born on 31 October 1884 at Tarnopol, Tarnopol, Galicia; as Michel, son of Rose FEIGENBAUM, daughter of Osias and Lea; and Josef SCHAPIRE. He was the son of Josef Szapiro and Rosa Hene Feigenbaum. He was born on 7 September 1888. He married Sadie Sigel, daughter of Elias Sigel and Gittel T. Kreel, on 5 November 1910 at New York, New York; as Max SHAPIRA, 25; son of Josef SHAPIRA and Rosie FERGENBAUM; born Austria; and Sadie SIGEL, 22; daughter of Elias SIGEL and Gittel T. KREEL; born Austria.
     He immigrated on 9 July 1907 to Ellis Island, New York, as Mechel SCHAPIRO, 25; joiner; aboard Batavia from Hamburg; last residence Tarnow; en route to cousin Lazar SCHAPIRO, 63 E. 7 Street; born Tarnopol; with sister Rosa.
