Maurice Hoffman was born in 1895 at Hebron, Palestine; according to Arnold Hofmann. He was the son of Salomon Hoffman and Jochevet Chohat. He was born on 30 January 1897 at Jerusalem, Palestine; per wedding certificate. He married Helena Berman, daughter of Moise Chaim Elia Berman and Mariacha Pratchansky, on 22 January 1920 at Paris, France. He died on 31 December 1985 at Metz, France.
