Chaim Berek Lewton was born between 1861 and 1862; aged 18 at marriage in 1880; aged 42 at birth of daughter Brocha in 1903. He was the son of Pejsach Lewton and Ryfka Rozan. He married Chana Dvora Leszczyna, daughter of Abram Leszczyna, on 29 December 1880 at Ostroleka, Lomza, Lomza; as Chaim Berek LEWTON, 18, son of Pejsach Berkowicz LEWTON and Ryfka; and Chana Dwejra LESZCZYNA, 18, daughter of Abram Aronowicz LESZCZYNA and Mirka. He died in 1934 at Lomza, Lomza, Lomza; per JRI-P.
He immigrated on 20 July 1925 to Ellis Island, New York, as Chaim B. ZDANOWICZ, 43; aboard Leviathan from Southampton; last residence Lomza; closest kin wife Chaja Rochla ZDANOWICZ, Lomza; en route to Samuel GROSSMAN, 2280 Bathgate Avenue, Bronx.
