Abe Harkavy

     Abe Harkavy was born on 21 February 1896 at Volkovysk, Volkovysk, Grodno; date per 1918 Selective Service registration; place per 1942 Selective Service registration. He was the son of Rabbi Yehudah Leib Garkavy and Roza Mindel Sapir. He married Esther Epstein, daughter of Abe Epstein and Dora Epstein, on 15 October 1933. He died on 29 September 1961 at 849 University, Memphis, Tennessee, at age 65; as Abe HARKAVY, born 21 Feb 1897; wholesale leather business; father unknown, mother Rosa M; wife Esther HARKAVY; buried Anshei Sphard, Memphis.

He on 5 June 1918 while living at 1031 Second Avenue South, Nashville, Tennessee, registered for Selective Service as Abe HARKAVY, born 21 Feb 1896 in Wolkowisk; closest kin sister R. FISHER.
