He was the son of Aron Silber and Libe Judis Rauchwarger. He married Anna Itta Goldstuck Trechter, daughter of Wigdor Jakob Goldstuck Trechter and Sara Suchistower Thau, in 1935 at Kolomyja, Kolomyja, Galicia.
