He died on 10 May 1920 at Kingston, New York; buried as Jonas M. LEVENTHAL in Agudas Achim plot of Montrepose Cemetery, Kingston, New York; inscription: Our dear old father Elchanan Moshe son of Mr. Avraham Leventhal. Passed away on 2 Iyar 5720. Obituary says he is survived by wife and three sons: Hyman LEVENTHAL and Max LEVENTHAL of Kingston and Burnett LEVENTHAL of NYC, as well as two daughters: Sara, wife of Israel NOVAK of NYC, and Anna, wife of Morris LEVENTHAL of NYC.
     As of 28 April 1902, Elchanan Moshe Lewton was also known as Chonik Leften. He immigrated on 15 July 1902 to Ellis Island, New York, aboard S.S.
