Gertz Nachimowicz

     Gertz Nachimowicz was born circa 1845 at Russia. He was the son of Mordecai HaCohen Nachimowicz. He married Eve Nachimowicz, daughter of Yitzak Eizik unknown, circa 1870; per 1910 Census. He died on 28 August 1933 at Savannah, Georgia; as Hertzel NATHAN; in Hebrew: Naftali Hertz; buried Laurel Grove Cemetery.
     He appeared on the census of 15 March 1874 at Gorodishche, Novogrudok, Minsk, as Gertz NOKHIMOVICH, age 28; son of Mordukh. He immigrated on 3 September 1907 to Ellis Island, New York, as Hertz NACHIMOWITZ, age 56; laborer; last residence Horodisz; closest kin brother Mich; en route to acquaintance Ch. WILBOSCHEVITZ, 279/81 Broome Street, NY. He appeared on the census of 20 April 1910 at 63 Cherry Street, Jesup, Georgia, as Gertz NATHAN. He appeared on the census of 6 May 1910 at 509 Central, Tifton, Georgia, as Harrel NATHAN; occupation merchant, retail dry-goods. He appeared on the census of 13 April 1930 at 509 36 Street W., Savannah, Georgia, as Hessel NATHAN.
