Helen Teichberg Proschan

     Helen Teichberg Proschan was born on 6 December 1903 at Budapest, Hungary. She was the daughter of Bernard Teichberg and Bertha Teichberg. She was born circa 1910 at Poland; per 1930 Census. She married Louis Proschan, son of Harris Proschan and Mina Garkavy Proschan, on 5 August 1931; Louis's address: 186 Amboy Street; Helen's: 1216 39th Street. She died in December 1983 at Lakewood, New Jersey.
     Helen Teichberg Proschan was also known as Flona Teichberg. Her married name was Proschan. She immigrated on 9 October 1920 to Ellis Island, New York, aboard Gothland from Cherbourg, as Flona TEICHBERG, en route to father Boruch TEICHBERG; place of birth Budapest, Hungary (all others from Stanislaw, Poland.) She on 21 December 1925 at Brooklyn, New York, filed declaration of intention. She was naturalized on 19 March 1929 at Brooklyn, New York; naturalized. She appeared on the census of 12 April 1930 at 1216 39th Street, New York, New York, as Helen TEICHBERG, age 20. She appeared on the census of 10 April 1940 at 1216 39th Street, Brooklyn, New York, as Helen PROSHAN, teacher, Board of Education.
