     Isadore Bass was born in July 1892 at Vinnitsa, Vinnitsa, Podolia; per wife Gertrude's 1936 Petition for Naturalization. He was born circa 1894; per 1930 Census. He was the son of Shlomo Bass and Tilly Schneider. He married Gertrude Gelman Bass, daughter of Mordechai Gilmowski and Bluma Klupitzky, on 6 April 1919 at New York, New York; as Isidore BASS, 28; son of Solomon [BASS] and Tilly SCHNEIDER; and Gertie GILMAN, 22; daughter of Mordika [GILMAN] and Bluma KLUPITZKY.
     Isadore Bass was also known as Usher Bass. He immigrated on 11 June 1913 to Ellis Island, New York, as Uscher BASS, 23; farm laborer; aboard Noordam from Rotterdam; last residence Preskorof [Proskurov]; closest kin stepfather Chaim GRUNGRUSZ, Mintzer, Podolia; en route to cousin Jos. GOLDSTEIN, 519 E. 118th Street, NYC. On 23 September 1922 while living at 232 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, Isadore Bass filed Petition for Naturalization; witness Meyer Charles GILMAN, 38 E. 98th Street, New York, New York. He was naturalized on 11 January 1923; swore Oath of Allegiance. He appeared on the census of 1 June 1925 at 232 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, as Isdora BASS, 32; operator. He appeared on the census of 12 April 1930 at 1715 Washington Avenue, Bronx, New York. He appeared on the census of 13 April 1940 at 1715 Washington Avenue, Bronx, New York, as Isadore BASS, tailor cloak suit.
