Charles Tyner was born on 30 December 1888 at Chechel'nik, Olgopol, Podolia. He was the son of Chaie Datotschne. He married Elizabeth Wolf, daughter of George Wolf and Rebecca Wolf, on 9 February 1910 at St. Louis, Missouri. He died on 3 October 1918 at Memphis, Tennessee, at age 29; burial in Chicago.
He immigrated on 3 August 1900 to Ellis Island, New York, as Schie DATOTSCHNE, 9; aboard Roland from Bremen; last residence Czeczilnik [Chechel'nik]; en route to sister [Bessie TYNER] in Chicago at 492 S. Sangamon; traveling with mother Chaie, 46.
