Jankel Greengrass was born on 15 December 1908. He was born circa 1911 at Vinnitsa, Vinnitsa, Podolia. He was the son of Chaim Grungrusz and Tilly Schneider. He married Gertrude Messinger, daughter of Max Messinger and Bessie Wiener, on 16 April 1931 at New York, New York; as Jack GREENGRASS, 23, son of Hyman [GREENGRASS] and Tillie SNIEDER; and Gertrude MESSINGER, 20, daughter of Max [MESSINGER] and Bessie WIENER. He died in March 1975; as Jack GREENGRASS.
