Joseph Slomsky

     Joseph Slomsky was born circa 1879; per 1930 Census. He was born circa 1880; per 1920 Census. He was born on 13 March 1880; per 1918 draft registration. He was the son of Ajzyk Szajko Slomski and Sora Gitla Drejarz. He was born in March 1881; per 1942 SS registration. He married Raszka Kijek, daughter of Gerszko Tewel Kijek and Sora Boczkowska, circa 1898. He died on 14 February 1946 at Brooklyn, New York, at age 65; buried at Mount Hebron; headstone has Yosef Tzvi son of Ajzyk Yeshayahu.
     He immigrated circa 1899 per 1920 Census. He emigrated on 30 May 1900 from Hamburg, Germany, as Jossel SLOMSKI, 20; furrier journeyman; last residence Wysoki. He immigrated on 13 June 1900 to Ellis Island, New York, as Jossel SLOMSKY, 20, capmaker; born Wysoky; aboard the Batavia, from Hamburg; en route to uncle David BOBA, 71 Norfolk. He immigrated on 5 May 1901 to Ellis Island, New York, possible entry as Josof SLUAINSKY from Mozowcze, Russia, en route to Pittsburgh, PA; age 28 - does not align with 1913 Petition. On 6 January 1903 while living at 93 Suffolk Street, New York, New York, Joseph Slomsky filed Declaration of Intention with NY County Supreme Court as Joe SLOMSKY. He was naturalized in 1913; per 1920 Census.
