     Rabbi Eliahu Garkavy married Gitl Kamir Kaminer, daughter of Rabbi Zeev Wolf Kaminer. He was born in 1777; per 1811 Revision List. He was the son of Rabbi Gershon Garkavy and Badane Garkavy. He was born circa 1778 at Turets (?) He died in 1822; per Yizkor book p. 42. He died in 1823 at Novogrudok, Novogrudok, Minsk; per 1834 Revision List. He died in 1827.
     He was he carried on important business in Prussia, visiting Koenigsburg a number of times every year. Rabbi Eliahu Garkavy was also known as Elijah Harkavy. He appeared on the census of 1784 at Zydowska Street, Novogrudok, Novogrudok, Minsk, as Elie GARKAVY, son of Gerszon. He appeared on the census of 1806 at Novogrudok, Novogrudok, Minsk, appeared on the 1806 Revision List as El'lya GARKAVY, age 28. He appeared on the census of 8 November 1811 at Novogrudok, Novogrudok, Minsk, appeared on the 1811 Revision List as Elya GARKAVY, age 34. As of 8 November 1811, Rabbi Eliahu Garkavy was also known as Elya Garkavy. He appeared on the census of 8 July 1816 at Novogrudok, Novogrudok, Minsk, appeared on the 1816 Revision List as Elya GARKAVY, age 39. He appeared on the census of April 1834 at Novogrudok, Novogrudok, Minsk, died 1823, per 1834 Revision List.
