He was born on 7 March 1860 at Yeremichi, Novogrudok, Minsk; date, place per 1908 Declaration; 1858 per immigration manifest, 1907. He was the son of Avram Aryeh Harkavy and Rifka Mirsky. He died on 6 February 1943 at 599 Sackman Street, Brooklyn, New York, at age 82; as Saul HARKAWAY; age 79; widower;l paper bag dealer; father Abraham Leib [HARKAWAY] and mother Rifka MIRSKY; wife Goldie HARKAWAY; informant Alice MENDELSON; buried Montefiore Cemetery; NY death certificate 3163.
     He immigrated on 18 February 1907 to Boston, Massachusetts, as Shaul HARKAWI, age 46, aboard Cymric from Liverpool, last residence Mir, birthplace Jeremich, en route to son Henry HARKOWEY in Nashua, NH. On 13 November 1908 while living at 41 Whitney Street, Nashua, New Hampshire, Shaul Gedaliah Harkavy filed Declaration of Intention as Shul HARKAWAY, peddler; born Eremitz, Russia 7 Mar 1860.
