     Max Grossman was born in 1887 at Rypolty, Lomza. He was the son of Fajbus Kosower and Ruchla Chanowicz. He married Bessie Pressman, daughter of Rubin Pressman and Ester Pliener, on 21 December 1919 at New York, New York; as Max GROSSMAN, 29, son of Philip GROSSMAN and Rosie; and Bessie PRESSMAN, 25, daughter of Hirison [PRESSMAN] and Esther PLIENER.
     Max Grossman was also known as Max Kosower. Max Grossman was also known as Motel Kosewer. He emigrated on 8 January 1907 from Hamburg, Germany, as Motel KOSEWER, 19, aboard Kaiserin Auguste Victoria to New York.
