     Elias Harkavy was born circa 1846; per death record. He was the son of Baruch Bendet Harkavy and Reichel Cohen. He married Rosie Harkavy, daughter of Berol Osheiovitz and Annie Osheiovitz, circa 1866. He appeared on the census of 9 June 1900 at 25 Market Street, New York, New York, as Elias HARKAVA; born Nov. 1845; immigrated 1888; teacher. He appeared on the census of 1 June 1915 at 307 E. 28th Street, New York, New York, possibly as Ellis HARKAVY, age 68; Jewish teacher; 10 years in U.S. He lived between 1917 and 1918 at 351 W. 47th Street, New York, New York, as Elias HARKAVY, [Hebrew] teacher. He appeared on the census of 12 January 1920 at 353 W. 47th Street, New York, New York, as Elias HARKAVY, age 64; school teacher; immigrated 1900.
