She was born on 9 August 1899 at Krocice, Olkusz, Kielce; according to Yad Vashem testimony of her friend, Josie LEON; current spelling Kroczyce. She was the daughter of Aron Lubtchansky and Rachel Lubtchansky. She married Leon Berman, son of Moise Chaim Elia Berman and Mariacha Pratchansky, on 22 December 1918 at 8, rue Mercoeur, Paris, France; per wedding invitation in archives of Mayer LAMBERT; http://www.aiu.org/biblio/Archives/Archives_privees/MayerLAMBERT.htm. She died on 2 November 1943 at Auschwitz, Oswiecim, Krakow, Poland, at age 44; per J.O. du 08/04/1987.
     As of 22 December 1918, Mera Lubtchansky Berman was also known as Marcelle Lubtchansky. She was arrested after denunciation, according to Yad Vashem testimonial of her daughter Paule BERMAN on 15 October 1943 at Cannes, France. She was deported, transport 61 from Drancy to Auschwitz on 28 October 1943.
