Louis Burns was born on 24 July 1912 at Petrikov, Mozyr, Minsk. He was the son of Itze Rubinstein and Sora Riva Rubinstein. He married Dorothy Ruth Harris, daughter of Moses Saul Harris and Anna Goldstein, on 28 August 1938 at Winston-Salem, North Carolina; as Louis BURNS, 25, of Washington DC; son of Isaac BURNS and Sarah BURNS; and Dorothy HARRIS, 19, of Winston-Salem; daughter of Moe HARRIS and Anna HARRIS. He died on 23 January 2007 at Silver Spring, Maryland, at age 94.
He immigrated on 4 August 1923 to Boston, Massachusetts, as Leiba RUBINSTEIN, 9; aboard Samaria from Liverpool; last residence Petronow [Petrikov]; closest kin brother Jankel RUBINSTEIN, Minsk; en route to brother Samuel BORNSTEIN, 141 Dudley Street, Providence, Rhode Island.
