     Abraham Maymudes was born on 2 December 1901 at Ostrow, Lomza. He was the son of Jacob Mordechai Maymudes and Chaje Maymudes. He was born on 15 December 1902; per father's 1923 Petition. He married Chaja-Golda Kuszer, daughter of Simcha Pinchus Kuszer and Ryfka Lewinsztejn, on 11 November 1925 at Brooklyn, New York. He died on 14 November 1989 at Los Angeles, California, at age 87; as Abram MAYMUDES, born 2 Dec 1901; mother's maiden name GROSINSKY.
     He immigrated on 13 December 1920 to Ellis Island, New York, as Abraham MAIMUDIS, 17; aboard Zeeland from Antwerp; last residence Ostrova; no close kin; en route to father [no name] c/o H. RUBIN, 14 Suffolk Street. On 15 December 1923 while living at 19 Hester Street, New York, New York, Abraham Maymudes filed Declaration of Intention with NY County Supreme Court, as Abraham MAYMUDES, operator. He appeared on the census of 1 June 1925 at 19 Hester Street, New York, New York, as Abr. MAYMUDES, 23; fur worker. On 6 January 1927 while living at 212 E. 18th Street, New York, New York, Abraham Maymudes filed Petition for Naturalization with SDNY as Abraham MAYMUDES, furrier; born 2 Feb 1903 at Lomza; witnesses Sam KUSHER, meat worker, 220 Bay 22 Street; and Goldie MAYMUDES, dressmaker, 212 E. 18th Street. He was naturalized on 16 May 1927; swore Oath of Allegiance; certificate 2532499. He on 10 November 1930 at 170 Bay at 31st Street, Brooklyn, New York, crossed border from Canada where he had been on a teacher visit to friend S. LAPIDES, 266 Major Street, Toronto. He appeared on the census of 3 April 1940 at 1236-1/2 Evergreen, Los Angeles, California, as Abraham MAYMUDES, 35; stenographer, insurance company.
