     Gabriel Potashnik was born in 1882 at Dzierzkow, Radom, Radom; son of Gerszek POTAZNIK and Laja Perla WAJNSBROT; born Dzierzkow per Radom Book of Residents. He was the son of Gersz Lejb Potaznik and Laja Perla Wajnsbrot. He married Estera Goldberg, daughter of Majer Goldberg and Cyrla Laia Kojen, on 2 June 1900 at Radom, Radom, Radom; as Gawrys POTAZNIK, 20; son of Gerszek [POTAZNIK] and Laja Perla WAJSBROT; and Estera GOLDBERG, 19; daughter of Majer [GOLDBERG] and Cyrla KOJEN. He died in March 1968 at Dade, Florida.
     He immigrated on 25 October 1920 to Ellis Island, New York, as Gawriel POTASCNIK, 38; locksmith; aboard Oscar II from Copenhagen; last residence Radom; wife Ester POTSCNIK in Radom; en route to brother-in-law J. TRAN, 318 E. 100 Street, NYC; [Isidore TRAU, in 1920 Census as TRANVER]. He on 3 July 1921 at 318 E. 100th Street, New York, New York, filed Declaration of Intent with NY County Supreme Court, as Gabriel POTASHNIK, aged 38, iron worker; born Radom 4 Jul 1882; arrived US 26 Oct 1920. He appeared on the census of 24 April 1930 at 1025 Avenue St. John, Bronx, New York, as Gabriel POTASHNIK, 48; sheet metal worker. He appeared on the census of 10 April 1940 at 1151 Stratford Avenue, Bronx, New York, as Gabriel POTASHNIK, 58; sheet metal worker.
