He married Anna Herman, daughter of Harry Herman and Fannie Greenblatt Herman, on 2 December 1917 at Cincinnati, Ohio; marriage license and certificate between Louis BASS, 24, of 572 Mt. Hope Road, Cincinnati, born in Russia to Hyman BASS and Mollie KOBRITZ, furrier by occupation; and Anna HERMAN, 18, of 642 W. Court Street, Cincinnati, born in Russia to Harry HERMAN and Fannie GREENBLATT. Married by Rabbi S. Ferber. He died on 23 June 1961 at Cincinnati, Ohio, at age 67; headstone: "Here lies Mr. Leib son of Mr. Meir, died 9 Tamuz 5721."
