Nathan Harris

     Nathan Harris was born in March 1860. He was the son of Iankhel Genach Sachar. He was born on 15 April 1865; per 1926 headstone. He married Rose Marie Shulat, daughter of Peysakh Chaim Shulat and Tsype Dine unknown, on 24 May 1883 at Pushelaty, Ponevezh, Kovno; as Girsh SHAKHOR, 23, son of Genekh; and Mera SHULAT, 23, daughter of Peisakh. He died on 13 October 1926 at Pulaski, Arkansas, at age 66; as Nathan HARRIS; Hebrew inscription has Tzvi Naftali, son of Yakov Chanoch, died 6 Cheshvan 5686.
     Nathan Harris was also known as Tzvi Naftali Sachar. He appeared on the census of 9 June 1900 at Forrest City, Arkansas, as Nathan HARRIS, 40; jeweler; immigrated 1885, naturalized. He appeared on the census of 15 April 1910 at 706 Center Street, Big Rock Township, Pulaski, Arkansas, as Nathan HARRIS, 45; merchant; immigrated 1887, naturalized. He appeared on the census of January 1920 at 706 Center Street, Big Rock Township, Arkansas, as N. HARRIS, 60; no employment; immigrated 1882, naturalized Dec 1894.
